D-GUBEN – PL-GUBIN combines an (auto)biographical search with a portrait of a European city upon the Neisse that has been divided since 1945 and is now reunited within the Schengen area – a landscape shaped by the Ice Age and lignite, where Europe’s fractures and transitions still reverberate today.
