LETTERS

When the streets are quiet and people are afraid to even discuss politics in Belarus, letters can give us an insight into the feelings of pain, despair, love, and hope. The film portrays five individuals affected by repression: Each of them has different experiences—struggling to survive in prison, living in hiding within the underground resistance, enduring exile abroad, grappling with trauma, and mourning the loss of loved ones. Together, they represent the Belarusian society in its struggle for freedom and national identity.
