In the aftermath of the nuclear catastrophe, director Kyoko Miyake revisits Fukushima to discover the fate of her mother’s hometown, a community which risks disintegration. Watching the news abroad has brought Miyake to the question, why are people not angry? Is her puzzlement a sign of Westernization?
